David Dickerson, LPC, LMFT – Executive Director, Cornerstone Lodge Leadership Group

Taking a fresh approach to meeting the needs of hurting people, David Dickerson founded the Cornerstone Lodge Leadership Group. The ministry includes Cornerstone Lodge Retreat Center in east Texas, two Christian Counseling Associates offices located in The Hope Center in Plano and in Bedford, and Champions 2 Heroes. Before 2000, David served on several leading church staffs in Texas and Oklahoma, and established several Christian-based counseling centers around the country. He has continued to provide psychotherapy and counseling supervision through the Christian Counseling Associates offices.

His passion is in helping men and women with the potential of Champions to develop into the life of a true Hero! David gives consistent and encouraging leadership to thousands of professionals in athletics, medicine, law, ministry, commerce, and education throughout the country.

 

Daniel Southern – CEO, Daniel Southern Leadership Group

Daniel has served as a consultant, Christian ministry leader and advance man for Billy Graham, and been privileged to know and learn from some of the most accomplished leaders of our generation. His story of overcoming personal adversity is nothing short of remarkable and yet it is something most of us can relate to in one way or another. In his book The Message of Leadership, Dan shares some of the life-lessons that brought him triumph over challenges and led to his success as a respected leader, speaker, author and trainer. Dan has lived in such interesting places as Moscow, New York City, Seoul and London. One of his most prestigious accomplishments was overseeing the largest public meeting ever held by Billy Graham in North America in New York City’s Central Park. He is the CEO of the Daniel Southern Leadership Group and PROstrata; consulting firms which he founded in 1998. Dan’s passion is helping individuals, companies and organizations apply his dynamic leadership formula to create winning strategies in business and life. His presentations are a mixture of analysis, humor, faith, straight talk and common sense that focus on how effective leadership ultimately results in profitability and excellence for any team or individual. Dan Southern is the co-founder of Champions 2 Heroes and lives in Dallas, Texas.

Anne ‘Kip’ Watson – MA, LPC, Certified Personal Trainer, MBTI Certified

Kip Watson has many years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Trainer and Professional Athlete. She has assisted individuals, families, coaches and professional athletes maximize their mental and physical potential. Noted for a gentle yet challenging style of communication, she provides an environment focused on true change. Her clients have gone from giving up on life and dreams to achieving more than they thought possible.

She holds herself in that camp as well. In her 40s, she fulfilled a dream of becoming a professional athlete, playing women’s professional tackle football for the four-time World Champion Dallas Diamonds. She earned her Super Bowl ring in 2008 playing safety and special teams for the Diamonds.

Through her company NeuroSport, she uses the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and neuroscience to work with athletes, agents, coaches and parents to customize training and preparation. No aspect of the athlete’s training goes untouched. Kip addresses issues of physical strengths and obstacles, setting goals, facing adversity, dealing with pressure situations and the key factors in motivation.

She holds a Masters degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Biblical Counseling and is pursuing her second Masters in Sports Psychology at Argosy University. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. She is a highly-regarded speaker on issues of physical and mental performance, fitness, obesity, eating disorders and living a healthy lifestyle. Recently, she was named to the Texas Fitness & Health Initiative Committee for the City of Frisco. Kip also writes for The Examiner and blogs for the Dallas Morning News on football, fitness and health.

Kip loves to coach pee-wee football and volunteer at her children’s school, teaching Bible and journalism.
